Past trauma is having an impact.
You feel down and in distress, which lasts for weeks or months.
Are you overwhelmed, and all you can think of is withdrawing from everyone?
You often experience panic and anxiety attacks triggered by a crowd, noise, smell, or touch.
Are you struggling to fall asleep or stay asleep due to nightmares from an experience you had from trauma?
Overcoming past trauma makes moving forward difficult.
Months have passed since the incident occurred, but you still have difficulty falling asleep at night because you can still see the vivid images of the incident. If you manage to sleep with the help of a sleep aid, you wake up with terror and sweat because of nightmares about the incident.
During the day, you struggle to stay focused and on task because your mind relives the events repeatedly.
Explaining how you feel to others is difficult because everyone expects you to move on. After all, enough time has passed, but you keep crying for no reason.
Maybe years have passed, and you thought you had gotten over the incident, but seeing, smelling, tasting, or touching something triggers negative emotions from that previous event, making you begin to experience anxiety.
Therapy helps you heal and gain the power to move forward.
Trauma is not something you can lock away without correctly processing it and healing from it.
You don’t have to go through it alone. I specialize in EDMR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and you can find a safe and supported space to feel heard and help you reprocess trauma and restore well-being.
You deserve to have a happy and fulfilled life, and at Mindfulness BHS, you are empowered to make change.
Treatment specializations include Military Trauma, Childhood Trauma, Trauma from other experiences, and all forms of Abuse.
Rediscover your voice and start your healing journey.
Taking the first step to seek help is a sign of courage and readiness for things to change. I aim to meet you where you are and empower you.
During the first meeting, I will listen to and understand your needs, desires, and preferred outcomes. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that includes areas you would like to work on in therapy.
After we create a treatment plan, we will determine how to conduct treatment and sessions. Because you are unique, I tailor treatments specifically to your needs, and the number of sessions and frequency of treatment will depend on those needs. Beyond sessions, I’ll provide activities and resources, such as mindfulness techniques and coping skills, to use daily.
As you build a therapeutic relationship, gain trust, and engage in therapeutic activities both in session and out, you will begin to experience significant differences in your healing and breakthroughs in your personal life that transcend the sessions.
